IHS NHS Chapter attended the Oklahoma State Association of NHS convention. Timothy Alexander was the keynote speaker. They attended breakout sessions to enhance their leadership skills & contributed to the Homeless Alliance of OKC service project by packing hygiene bags.

There is a possibility of starting a jiu-jitsu club at IHS. It would be a club lead by Coach Pinkley (G.J.J. Blue Belt) and Mr. Waddel (BJJ Black Belt). It would be for boys and girls in grades 9-12. The club would be held in the gym after school 1 to 2 times a week. If interested, there is a mandatory parent meeting and requirements that have to be met before participation is allowed.
