🏀 Tough start to the season for our Indianola Warriors at the basketball season opener last night in Smithville. Both our junior high and high school teams faced a challenging game, ultimately coming up short. Despite the loss, our players gave it their all and showed real heart on the court. 👻🎃 Spooktacular Fun at Indianola! 🎃👻Today, our halls were filled with ghouls, goblins, superheroes, and a whole lot of smiles! Our Trick-or-Treat event was a huge success, with students showing off their amazing costumes, collecting candy, and enjoying some Halloween fun.
A special shoutout to our high school students, who had just as much fun passing out candy as our younger Warriors did collecting it! Our 5th-grade students dove into the vibrant traditions of Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead! They learned about this beautiful Mexican holiday, which honors and celebrates loved ones who have passed. Our 8th-grade students got a taste of adulting today at Kiamichi Technology Center’s Reality Check event! Each student was assigned a career with a salary, then faced real-life decisions—from housing to transportation, groceries to budgeting. This hands-on experience gave them a glimpse into financial planning and the importance of making wise choices.
