Our students were AWESOME, engaging in great discussions and interactive games to explore future opportunities. 🚀✨ 🛠️ Highlights: ✅ 5th graders played “I Have, Who Has” to learn about different occupations and explored the McAlester campus viewbook before testing their knowledge in “Careers of Fortune” 🎡🔠 ✅ 6th & 8th graders set career and academic goals using OK Career Guide and took on the “Careers of Fortune” challenge! 💪 We also got a sneak peek at summer TECH Camp—more details coming soon! Dear Warrior Families, We understand that making last-minute adjustments to schedules can be challenging, and we appreciate your understanding as we make decisions with the safety of our students and staff in mind. While we do not have a crystal ball to predict exactly how the weather will unfold, we must consider the potential impact on our school operations. Due to the forecasted winter weather and the possibility of hazardous road conditions, particularly on our bus routes that begin as early as 6:00 AM, we have decided to cancel school on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. Even the slightest accumulation of ice can make travel treacherous, and the safety of our students, staff, and bus drivers remains our top priority. We understand that some areas may not experience significant weather impacts, but we must make a district-wide decision based on the potential risks to all. This early notification allows families time to make necessary childcare arrangements. Please stay tuned to our district website, social media channels, and local news outlets for further updates.
