Dear Indianola School Students, Parents, and Community Members,
During the Thanksgiving Holiday, when we traditionally stop to give thanks, I wish to express my personal gratitude and take a moment to say thank you to our collective Tribe.
I am thankful for the students and the bright, energetic faces who bring life and energy to our school. Your varied differences make us stronger and hopeful for the future world changers we see before us daily.
I am thankful for the parents and guardians for having faith in Indianola Public Schools and for sharing your children with us. Thank you for entrusting their education with us and for your commitment to ensuring our combined success.
Thank you to those who support the school and students through donations, volunteer efforts, services and partnerships. Your support for our students and our school creates opportunities that lift us beyond our means. Groups such as, but not limited to: The School Board, FFA and Sport Booster Clubs, various committee volunteers, local churches, Canadian Masonic Lodge #22, Pittsburg County Sheriff's Department & Reserves, and many, many others who provide almost unlimited passion, commitment, and support. During my first five years as your superintendent, I have already witnessed an unyielding demonstration of time, energy, and generosity.
I am continuously thankful for our entire school staff. To the teachers, paraprofessionals, secretaries, maintenance, and bus drivers, the commitment every day to the students, your dedication to educational and organizational excellence, and your ongoing cooperation is to be commended. The many hours spent at home in preparation and grading, as well as the time spent in worrying and concern for the students and various programs may not be witnessed by most, but are shown in your passion to see students grow in knowledge and character. I look forward to working with you over the coming years to see what new heights we can achieve together with such an amazing group of people.
Finally, I am so thankful for being a part of the Indianola School Community and I look forward to working with you for the next several years to better prepare the next generations of productive community members.
On behalf of the Indianola Public Schools administration team, I wish you and yours a Happy Thanksgiving. Best wishes during this holiday time to be full of love, laughter, thankfulness, family, and friends.
Sincerely,
Adam Newman
Superintendent of Indianola Schools
