Currently, all students pass between the main building and the cafeteria 3 times a day, no matter what the weather looks like. This is problematic as students are often wet throughout the entire day. The playground, while upgraded just a few years ago, was slighted with bark under the equipment. This invites fire ants, which many students do not see until they have them all over their feet. Students must also brave the weather to get across the street to the storm shelter when the need arises. This means the community can not fit in the storm shelter during school operating hours. A growing student population has also increased the need for more restrooms. High school students are forced to go to other buildings for adequate facilities.

Our proposed new building is designed to be a cornerstone for the education and safety of our students, with a covered awning to the new building and the vestibule connecting it to the cafeteria, eight classrooms in total, two of them will serve a dual purpose as a storm shelter, additional bathrooms, and playground upgrades.

We work to ensure a brighter and more promising future for our beloved community. Let us continue to live our legacy while focusing on the future.
